Wilmington Trust, SPV Management Limited to Sponsor Global ABS 2004
Wilmington Trust Company (June 7, 2004)

Wilmington, DE, June 7, 2004 - Wilmington Trust's Corporate Client Services business line, in conjunction with the company's London-based special-purpose services affiliate for Europe, SPV Management Limited, has agreed to serve as a platinum sponsor of Global ABS 2004, a premier business conference focused on the asset-backed securitization industry. Wilmington Trust and SPV Management Limited are leading global providers of fiduciary and entity-management services.

Global ABS 2004 takes place in Barcelona, Spain from June 14-17 at the Hotel Arts. It is the eighth annual industry summit and is expected to bring together more than 2,600 people, including asset-backed securities issuers and investors as well as representatives of domestic and international law firms and accounting firms, investment bankers, service providers, rating agencies, and advisors of large corporations.

The conference agenda features two panels that include speakers from both firms. On Tuesday, June 15, James Fairrie, managing director of SPV Management Limited, will discuss the evolving responsibilities in the role, status and authority of directors and managers of special-purpose entities in multi-jurisdictional structures. Also on that date, Emmett Harmon, vice president of Wilmington Trust, will discuss the growing importance of the role of the trustee in securitized deals.

"The asset-backed securitization industry is living through a very interesting time," said David Vanaskey, vice president in the Structured Finance division of Wilmington Trust Corporate Client Services. "Closer regulatory scrutiny, increased deal surveillance and enhanced rating agency oversight clearly are ongoing trends in the marketplace. We will continue to see a push for more independence of deal participants and requests for more named backups for key roles in transactions. With experienced and highly credentialed experts, Wilmington Trust is well positioned to serve as a reliable deal facilitator for investors and issuers as these trends evolve."

Several executives from Wilmington Trust and SPV Management Limited will be in Barcelona at Global ABS 2004 to discuss both firms' capabilities with conference attendees. In addition, attendees can register to win a giveaway of a case of award-winning vintage wines and a copy of the beautiful hardcover book Michael Broadbent's Vintage Wine, by world-renowned wine expert Michael Broadbent.
